a not so EZ relaunch

Inspiring women looking to relaunch their career, finding something they love that can pay a bill or two.

    seriously. it happened, again?

    Can someone please remind me, no kick me, really hard, if I ever say “This job is a perfect fit”. Last week, I received a call from a principal at a local elementary school. The message went something like this; Hello, this is XXX from XXX. Letting me know there is a position available. I…

  • let me pray about it

    let me pray about it

    I believe in the power of prayer. But here’s my dilemma with prayer … when two people are praying about the same thing, is it possible God answers one with a “yes”, and one with a “no”? Last fall, I inquired about a potential part-time business position that was being created, one that for many…

    i don’t want it all … but i want something.

    The days climbing the corporate ladder are over for me. I had a good ride, a really good ride. But life took a turn, a really good turn. After 20 years, I went from career driven to laundry driven as a stay-at-home mom of 5. When I became pregnant with my 4th child, I knew…

how this got started

I had this awesome idea to document my career relaunch. After reading several inspiring stories of women who completely reinvented themselves, became wildly successful, who truly had it all, I secretly hoped I’d fit right in. That when the time was right, I would hop right back in the working world with a very lucrative part-time gig or a very successful small business (that of course would eventually be sold for trillions). And sadly, this blog would not be up and running for long. I really wouldn’t have the time. Ahhhh….

Well, I do have a trillion dollars – it’s hanging up in my kitchen. A gift stuffed in a mother’s day card from my son (so lucky, he picked out the card with came with a trillion dollar bill! And we often discuss when and how we are going to use it. It’s either an inground pool or an upgrade to replace my 2012 Honda minivan. Not sure.)

Other than that, I’m still searching. I’m still agonizing over what I really want to do, what I am qualified to do. I’m still wondering where my 20+ career experience in leadership and my business education matters. And I really want to know where I can make a difference.

So here’s a little play by play on how it’s going.
